A Farmhouse Kitchen with rooms, tucked away in rural Whitley near Melksham, 25 minutes from Bath. With eight contemporary individually decorated ensuite double rooms split between the Inn & a beautifully converted barn. An old stone build farmhouse with rug strewn flagstones & reclaimed timber flooring, featuring worn wooden tables with mismatched furniture. The Pear Tree Inn showcases the best local suppliers with a menu guided by the seasons. Beyond the flagstoned bar are two dining areas; the garden room, adjacent to a secluded courtyard; and a large open sunroom with exposed beams and adjacent garden terrace.

Join us throughout December for our fabulously festive set menu, created especially for the season.
We support British farmers, fishermen, and producers, only buying quality ingredients from suppliers who share our ethics and care about the good stuff just as much as we do.
Also check out our excellent choice of wines, drinks and cocktails. We'll offer the Perfect Treat for you to indulge with friends, family or colleagues this Christmas.

Offerings from the Pantry Team
We buy our ingredients whenever possible from local farmers and growers, and we don't buy out of season! Our menus change regularly to make the most of the fresh crop and local specialities with all of our meat being free range and traceable right back to the animal itself. All of our fish is caught in British waters with a 24-hour port to plate policy and our eggs come only from happy chickens! To top it off, we bake our own cakes and biscuits in our kitchen as well as producing our own seasonal jams, chutneys and ice creams.

Comfort and style sums up the eight contemporary bedrooms, all named after varieties of pears and split between the inn and a beautifully converted barn. For exposed beams, mullion windows and rural views, stay in the inn, otherwise choose the converted barn for upholstered easy chairs, striking statement pear motif wall coverings and fired earth tiled bathrooms.
